Are you dreaming ? by pwassonne Are you dreaming ? by pwassonne
Sorry for the poor image quality, I decided to take this picture at the last moment and I wasn't very careful. I took 2 pictures in total and this one was my least favorite because it shows only the piece and not its context. However, the other picture was so blurred, there was nothing I could do to save it.

I did this today at the deviantMEET in Paris, France. (The event was in a place called Mecano Bar, which was quite an interesting setting - also, big place, lots of people, loud noise... still, the Meet was awesome).

I was doodling when I suddenly had the weird idea of writing "Are you dreaming ?" on a piece of paper, as some kind of joke. This is how it turned out. I put it there for people to see (there was a piece of used tape on the wall, so I reused it). It was not until a while later that I realized it could be considered art, since it is meant to get people to question reality, and as I understood this, I decided it WAS art. This is why I am posting it. Even later, I remembered to do a reality check myself, but it turned out, I wasn't dreaming. ^^

(For those who don't know, it is actually possible for a dreamer to become aware that they are currently dreaming. It is called lucid dreaming. Some people do this naturally, others don't, but anyone can learn. Just Google it.)

The small blue card at the bottom is a personal card I made in order to promote my dA gallery. Since I don't have any big project to promote, it was a little awkward, but I don't really care. Since I am not selling anything, what I hope to get from this is mainly comments and criticism, because I need them in order to improve my work.

I will gladly answer questions about this piece if you have any. Comments and criticism are also welcome.

Tu sais quand tu rêves, c'est-à-dire ?
